3) If it finds the city, click on the "Set" button to save it.
4) Open the "Date & Time" control panel.
5) Click on the "Set Time Zone..." button.
6) Choose a large city in the same time zone as you, and click "OK".
7) Make sure the "Daylight Saving Time" checkbox is in the appropriate state for your locale.
NetChronometer Settings

Use Internet Time Server
If this box is unchecked, NetChronometer won't connect to a network time server.
Time Server
You can specify which time server on the internet to use. The Popup menu to the right contains a list of network time servers. You can choose one of these, or type in your own.
You should try and pick a network time server close to you. This will help to minimize any propogation delays across the internet.
Check manually
NetChronometer will not try to automatically connect. You can use the "Connect Now" button to connect manually.
Check when NetChronometer launched
NetChronometer will try connecting to the time server when you launch it. You have the option of having NetChronometer quit when it's done checking. If you do have the "quit after checking" option selected, you may find that it is hard to change settings at some future time because as soon as it launches & checks, it quits. You can temporarily disable this feature by holding down the COMMAND key when you launch NetChronometer.
Check Periodically
If you desire, you can have NetChronometer connect to a network time server periodically. You specify the interval, in hours.
Status
Shows the status of the connection.
Connect Now
If you click on this button, NetChronometer will connect to the specified network time server and synchronize the clock on your Macintosh to the time server.
Preferences

Timeout period
You can adjust the network timeout period when trying to reach a server. If you are using a dial-in connection, or if the server is slow to respond, you can increase this.
Check for newer versions over the internet
If you have this selected, then NetChronometer will check to see if a newer version of NetChronometer or the NetChronometer server list has been posted.
